Red Braised Duck

Duck 1 (about 650 grams)
Bamboo shoots 100 g
1 red pepper
2 green onions
Ginger 1
Garlic 15 cloves
Amount of star aniseed
Cooking oil 30 g
2 tsp sesame oil
3 tablespoons soy sauce
8 tablespoons of broth
1 tablespoon cooking wine
1 tablespoon sugar
Half teaspoon MSG
Soft, fleshy, full of flavor.
1 Clean and cut duck to pieces, wash and cut onions, ginger, garlic, bamboo shoots and pepper into slices;
2 Heat oil in pan and stir fry duck pieces with skin and fat until becoming oily;
3 Then add onions, ginger, garlic, pepper, aniseed and stir the rest of the duck piecs until meat turing white; Add cooking wine, broth, soy sauce, sugar, bamboo shoots, let simmer;
4. Simmer about 1 hour, then turn to high heat to reduce, add MSG; Skim out the fat; Drizzle sesame oil and serve.
★ Chefs tips
Because the duck pieces simmer a long time, check often to avoid burn.
